Which airline is the best to fly from Bali to Komodo?
Feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the airline choices? I totally get it – it can be a bit of a maze.

Planning your trip from Bali to Komodo and feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the airline choices? I totally get it – it can be a bit of a maze with so many options and those pesky flight changes. But don’t worry, I’ve done some digging and chatted with other travelers to help you out!
First off, let’s talk about your options. There are a few airlines that fly from Bali to Komodo, including Air Asia, Batik Air, Citilink, Garuda, and maybe even Wings. But not all airlines are created equal.
I heard people says that if you want to avoid the hassle of cancellations and delays, go for airlines with more than one flight per day. “If one flight gets canceled, they can usually rebook you on another.” — I wouldn’t listen to this tips.
Most airlines doesn’t handle cancelation well
Either due to your fault or theirs. Personally, I’d steer clear from this option. If you need to cancel your flight, or your flight got canceled, be prepared to buy new ticket especially if you want to fly on the same day.
Be mindful of the boarding and check-in times.
For instance, Citilink closes its boarding gate 15 minutes before the flight takes off. Lion Air closes its check-in gate 45 minutes before departure. These are from my personal experiences, but their policies may change over time.
Let’s go through each airline one by one.
Air Asia is budget-friendly option gets a lot of thumbs up for being punctual and even serving meals on board. If you’re looking to save some cash, this could be your go-to. I’ve flown with Air Asia a few times, and it’s been a pleasant experience – flights on time and decent service!
Pelita Air and Super Air Jet are new comers. These are budget options with great reputation so far. Especially Pelita Air, which provide snacks and on-time boarding.
Citilink and Garuda are the favorites for reliability. Garuda, being the full-service national carrier, offers a bit more comfort, while Citilink is a solid choice if you want something dependable and easy to book.
Batik Air got multiple flights daily, which is great if you’re worried about cancellations. But heads up – some folks recommend steering clear since they’re part of the Lion Air Group, which doesn’t have the best rep.
Wings Air is a bit of a wildcard – not as frequently mentioned, so I’d say proceed with caution.
To sum it up,
For people who want peace of mind and a smooth journey, stick with Citilink or Garuda. If you’re on a budget; Air Asia, Pelita Air, and Super Air Jet will be great pick. Any of them is a good bet.
As for other awesome people, all those airlines are good options if you have time and patience. Well, sometimes we have more time than money.
I hope this helps you have a smooth journey to the beautiful Komodo National Park. It’s an amazing place, and I’m sure you’ll love it.
